oday many family members and friends who are living in Europe shared their Covid-19 story with me on social media.
Everyone is in panic mode. My family and friends told me that there is no more food on the store shelves, no masks, or hand sanitizers. Now, they have to work from home and the worst part......schools are closed and kids are at home.

Since I do not have the experience of being a single mom, I found it hard to pen down a story. Therefore, I have asked someone who has been through it and I appreciate her candid story.
So here it is, upon request, a story of a single mom. If you wish to share your story about anything, do not hesitate to contact me below. |

Friendship week - pijama dayI truly believe that educating the heart is just as important as educating the mind. In order to do so, we celebrated Friendship Week. We talked about friends, what we like about our friends and how we can be caring towards them. Aside from discussions about friendships and how to be kind to others, many different learning experiences were offered this week...

Friendship week - heartsLast week, we celebrated Friendship week and I would like to post a few things we did during that week. We learned so much, aside from having a lot of fun. Book reading events - my experienceI have a passion for writing children story books. IT IS YOU - IT IS ME - IT IS US - IT IS LOVE WHO BUILDs COMMUNITY....My dream has always been to open my own Preschool. Well that dream has not been fulfilled yet. Nevertheless, two of my former colleagues did! They opened a local Preschool in Jakarta, "Cherries Preschool". I am super proud of them, because they started as Teaching Assistants in my former school and now...they own a school! So dreams do come true.

There was a time where playing outside was king...I remember the time when I grew up in the Netherlands, I was able to play outside every day. My Elementary School was in the middle of the woods, and we had an hour break to play outside. I remember.... running around the trees or picking up leaves, sticks, grass, flowers and seeds for my little imaginary "shop." My shop was a big hole that my friends and I dug out in the sand. The pebbles that we discovered outside was used as our "money" to buy the leaves, sticks, grass and flowers.

blinded by too many tests? My other article addressed the beauty of my childhood in the Netherlands and how I was allowed to play. I honestly thought that it was still that way over there. I have moved overseas for the past 16 years and apparently things has changed.
